![]() ![]() My only hope is that developers don’t start designing for mouse and keyboard, versus making apps which are touch responsive. But with Apple’s focus on mouse support, adding things like live loops To Logic for Mac OS (which was originally a GarageBand for iOS feature), I truly believe that it could be done. So, do I think it is possible? Up until this month, I woulda said that it was probably a joke. Even in Windows, I remember seeing “256mb minimum, core 2 duo”. There’s always a minimum specification for a device. (If iOS Shortcuts came out earlier, then I coulda added that to the list, but that’s just a pain to explain.) GarageBand for iOS will still be the common ground, same with iMovie. Same thing with older iPads which can’t download iOS 13. If your device doesn’t support their version of XCode (for example), then you won’t be able to download it. So, what does it mean for people who have various iPads? This means that the apps would be intended for the pro models due to their higher RAM. ![]() I find it interesting that they keep mentioning the “iPad Pro”. This can’t be ignored, because “Apple actually made a tool to make developers’ lives easier”. ![]() Granted, it’s a different architecture but it is possible.Īpple came out with Catalyst to allow developers to design an “all-in-one” suite for software development. Older Mac computers (at least from 2012) are still able to run things like Xcode, GarageBand, Logic, Final Cut Pro. Okay, here’s my assumption of the way Apple will pull this off. ![]()
